I have a 1971 series 2A, that i'm currently restoring and i'm at the point of which to decide what roof set-up to put on.

What i have to decide between is a:

pickup setup

hardtop + full door

hardtop + upper and lower tailgate.

I'm 17 currently and still @ school. so caring people is useful. but i've also heard that having a pickup in winter is extremely gd idea. as it is quicker to heat.

I'm stuck what is the best option. Any of you have any other ideas.

cheers

Im a fan of the full hardtop, more undercover room so you can carry more stuff without people being able to easily take it, and its away from the weather a bit more.

My first car was a s2 that I rebuilt at 17 as well
I put a pick up top on with the canvas back trouble is it took me mates about a month of riding in the back to rec the hood
I would go for full hard top with the full door it be better for your mates and you can fit more speakers
I wouldn't worry about heating cos they don't work even in a pick up, they take hours to warm anything

Agreed.

Go for the hard top... pile a load of people in then go off-roading and let them bounce around in the back - you'll have loads of fun!

Cheers guys. Think i'll go for the hardtop.
