Hi all,

Whilst trying to get to the bottom of my overheating issue on my V6, I've noticed some rather bodged hosing work that's been done in the past.

The pipe I'm referring to is the one marked in green below, I know it's only a return pipe to the expansion tank but surely it's not right, it's been bodged together using various different pipes all joined together and are various different sizes. Now my question is, will this affect the cooling of the engine at all (with it being different sizes - potentially putting strain on the pump etc if not the correct size)?? If so, does anyone know what size the hose should actually be? At the moment it varies between 8mm Internal Dimension and 13mm....

Is it a problem at all?

Many thanks...

The only problem is pressure being released through joints not sealed correctly. Always play safe by fitting a correct new part if it looks dodgy.
