does anyone know of a bmw doozil engine that fits a disco 1?

another member on ere txt me today hes been offerd a g reg 3 dr disco that has a bmw doozil engine fitted.

apparently its mint condition and has been dry stored for the last 6 years,havent had a look at it but he wants peanuts for it and it could be interesting

dunno don't think the p38 would mate up very well with gearbox etc but I may be wrong

Would think the little gaylander engine may be a bit under powered

P38 is M51 engine......BMW 525...poxall omega.
Big lump but would fit in a disco

It was an out there guess. Not sure what other beemer engines could be used,but then with a welder and enough time anythings possible

can be tuned quite easily to produce 180 bhp,i have one sitting in a r75 probably weighs the same as a gaylander,gos very rapidly for a derv,would think its crap in a disco though

Don't think it'd have the torque to shift it tbh, be like driving the MPi disco.

I gets 130 bhp out of my 1.9

but its a twin turbo
