Spotted a small oil eak the other day so I called LR Assist out and the guy came and sorted out what he says was a blocked breather.
While he was there we got chatting about tuning etc and I showed him Rons box (had taken it off prior to calling them) - he said that there had been no reason to take it off to call him out and he basically didnt give a hoot but it was a good idea to take it off before letting a dealer near a car.
He asked why I didnt take off the the blue pipe attached to a vacuum thingy pipe if I wanted more performance - he explained that this pipe recycled exhaust gases back to part of the induction cycle and, in so doing, this bought down the emmisions - he reckoned that this has quite an effect on performance.
I have to say that I have been so busy with Rons box on, then off, then towing the van this weekend I cant really say whether I have noticed a difference in performance with it off - just wondered if anybody else had heard of this??
Cheers
