Hi folks, my disco 1 goes like a train on petrol however the gas kicks in and it seems like Ive a V4 lol.The previous owners replaced the plugs with NGK's and the leads and dizzy look new, the leads dont look the greatest though to be honest.Could this be the fault? Also it was backfiring into the airbox and ive just filled the gas to full as the pump in the station stopped itself.Any help really appreciated

much more info required..engine...lpg system etc...but buy sounds of it you need to service and tune lpg system...

Sorry Zen,3.9 petrol v8, system unknown as Ive not had it long or checked but its single point with the gas with the venturi type gas feed.Ill check type and take a few photos tomorow aswell mate.Was going to try and replace the dizzy cap and rotor arm with genuine parts then maybey magnecor leads but who knows when the LPG system was last serviced :/

Again service time..could well be running so weak

Buy new filters etc and oe dizzy is always good idea

A good ignition service is essential on LPG i've learned. It can transform a car. Start there!

Thats the plan John, genuine dizzy and rotor arm and the Magnecor 8.5 mm leads andtake it from there mate
