Righto its been a while since me last post, but im a lazy bastard.

My problem is with my 86' classic gearbox, it seems a little to hard to motivatate to change gears. I was wondering if a overhaul of the gearbox was a job the average bloke could do or if it was one i should **** off down to the garage. (its a 5 speed manual)

Not many average blokes would be able to do it. Come to think of it, not many trained mechanics under 60 could do it either. Most below that age will have never seen the inside of a gearbox. They work on a take old one out, put a new overhauled one back these days. If you can't do it yourself take it to a transmission specialist.
