Hi everyone

I'm hoping someone can off some advise. My partner was driving my 2002 freelander TD4 when the battery light came on and then it went off again. It did this a number of times and them stayed on for a short while before going off and staying off.
She didn't notice any difference or interruption to the movement or power while driving.
I checked that the cables are securely attached to the terminals and they are.

Has anyone any ideas? the battery is relatively new as far as i'm aware.

Many thanks
S

Wasn't after driving through deep puddles was it, my lights dim after that with the water making the belt slip. Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running should be nearly 14 volts I think.

Thanks for the reply,
She was driving on the motorway and the roads were bone dry but Ill see about getting a voltage check.

Sounds like the alternator could be on the way out if all the connections are tight, belt not slipping and new battery.
