Just taking the front seats and carpet out of my D2 manual, and under the passenger seat attached to the audio amplifier bracket is a transmission controller ECU for the ZF auto box.
It's all plugged in but I've got an R380 5-speed manual box and the build sheet for my car shows 'V8 Manual R380'. The car was registered to Rover, but although built in November 1998 it wasn't registered until June 1999.
Anyone else come across this before? I'm taking seats etc out to fit new LPG tank brackets.
