Hi guys I have a 200tdi 110 just wondering wot gearboxes will go straight in it without changing anything . I have a lt77s in it wot is stuck in 3rd gear AV been looking for a while for an lt77 or lt77s for defender but don't seem to find much

defender lt77 is the only box that fits without any alterations apart from a special short bell housing r380 that was built for that purpose but they are very rare,all the other boxes are longer, defender 300 tdi and onwards engine was fitted right up to rad to allow room for the longer box
 
Thort that I have been looking for a defender gear box for agers there's a load of discovery ones gear leavers are different or Sutton

box is longer too ,with the 300 tdi disco box was used in defender with an adaptation of gear stick positioning
 
So would I be able to change the gear stick because I might have a lt77s but it's of a discovery

no its not as simple as that boxes can be altered but a complete rebuild is necessary,but box is still too long ,200 tdi def and previous use a very short box
 
So it's just a lt77 or lt77s defender box or a short bellhouseing r380 winch probably never find haha
