basicly im in the poop here guys but need some knolageable advice and guidence....

to start with im a 200sx petrol mechanic so im used to things going wrong on a regular basis but ive dived into the relms of landrover denzol smoke and im confident but not sure...

its all started with a bit of green lane fun that ended with lots of dirty black smoke leaving my tailpipe and a struggle of a drive home and not sounding healthy...

at first i suspected turbo oil seals as it was clearly loosing oil quick and of corse the blue smoke..... further inspection the turbo feels fine no play in the shaft and too much oil on the intake side for my liking for it to be a simple blower swap...

i traced back a pipe/hose that comes from the airbox (before the turbo) and heads up to a plastic valve on the rocker cover im confident this is the crankcase breather and rocker cover breather but dont understand what the plastic valve is for any info please?

any way, the oil appears to be comming from here in measurments closer to litres rather than ml lol with the engine running and oil cap off it smokes like a steam train (from the filler cap) now im no expert but i dont think this is correct....

im down to thinking head gasket or piston rings......

anyone elce like to share there opinions please?

call me stupid but how do i do a comp test on a derv.... i can do a petrol by removing the spark plugs.... is it the same guage for a start and also what pressures should i be seeing?

cheers in advance
