looking at upgrading the size of my tyres, but want to keep my current rims.
currently have thr freestyle ones, so whats the largest tyre i can fit on them?

on the BF goodrich site it says i can fit 255 85 r16 onto a 7 inch rim?
will this do or is a larger offset required?

265/75 is 32" dia, 10.5" wide
255/85 is 33" dia 10" wide

no significant difference.

iv got 35"x10.50 r16's on standard disco steel rims,i think they ar only 7".they are fitted on a 90 wi a 4" lift i dont use any spacers to increase offset and they ar fine.hope this has helped

it's when you go over 10.5" wide (e.g. 285s) that you need wider rims and more offset.
with 265s / 10.5" you may need to adjust your steering stops.

im currently running 7.50s, want more ground clearance more then anything.
anyone know how wide the 7.50s are?

i always thought the 7.50 was to do with the diameter of the tyre not the width, but i suppose that would make sense lol

7.50 16 tyres vary in width between manufacturers. The tread face is usually between 6.5 and 7 inches wide and the width of the tyre at it's widest point is usually between 8 and 8.5 inches.
