Hi there,

I've had a little offroading experience before and have just bought a 2001 landrover 90.

I'm based in Nottingham and would love some details on the best 4x4 routes near by as I really want to get out exploring on the weekends ect.

If anyone had any GPX files that would be great (or is it better just to use a map).

I'm new to offroading in the UK as have only ever done it briefly abroad.

Many thanks

I showed him what I do, I didn't think I needed to add why I wouldn't just pass on a file full of lanes I'd spent hours researching ...

Sorry, didn't mean to annoy anyone! Thanks 'Paul D' for the help I'll look into it.

No sweat.

keep an eye out in the greenlaning section, there's regular runs out to the Peaks, just ask to join in on one that suits.

Hi all,

Quick laning question...

If a lane is fully marked as a road on google maps but has an unlocked fence across it with NO private property signs to be seen is it ok to open the gate and drive on it?

And a more general question - do unlocked gates signify you are on someones land even though there is a public road running through it?

Many thanks

Alastair
