i would like to fit a pressure gauge somewhere in the fuel system for diagnostic purposes, try to identify a failing pump or regulator before it gets too bad. If I understand correctly,in the diagram below i should have best results if i fit it along the green pipe between the pump and the regulator, and that should give 4 Bar of pressure at idle.

You would just be adding another potential failure point for no logical reason.
well the logical reason is to get data. a slight reduction in pressure might indicate a failing pump, failing filter or valve, failing fpr and even a problem in the connection (earth) way before you are stuck at the side waiting for the recovery truck. as i overland that would obviously be a bigger problem for me :)
 
Stick a t piece into the fpr fuel temp sender hole..... Im afraid I dont know the thread sizes for you.

This thread might help you.... but I see you have already commented, in 2021.

This is a full fuel pressure kit, sensor and guage. Pretty pricey though.

yes that was my first time trying to tackle this. I had gone for a nitrous adapter but the closest i could find was 5/16 connectoir which is not exactly 7.89mm the td5 has and obviously it leaks
