right, im looking to repaint my defender a different colour as the red has faded and is patchy in places, so i was wondering what colours people would reccomend. I know loads of people will say blue or green, but i would like to see a few different colours in comparison as i want something a bit different, please add photos if you can, many thanks, mat. :)

Bronze green, all Landrovers should be Bronze green except 5 door station wagons which should be Limestone. The Daktari paintjob is acceptable only on the correct S11 vehicle.
 
White.

And it just so happens that I have 2.5L of white paint for sale as I've just decided to paint mine bronze green instead.:D

Come on own up, how many of you can remember what a Daktari paint job is? (no cheating and looking it up on Google)

Genuine mud colour!

Dries to an acceptable finish in keeping with the bog-hopping ethos. Unfortunately washes off when it rains and then it has to be re-done!

I have had at least one "daktari" landrover since 1970 did have two at one point a "86" series and a series 2/3 109 .
 
The cheapest you can find.........it was going to be blue until I got 12L of maroon hammerite for £40!!!!!!!!!
