Although the 3.5 EFi V8 in my RRC trialler runs OK, it's not what you'd call lively. It's got new plugs and leads, the dizzy is only about 18 months old and its got a K&N copy cone airfilter. The exhaust is running only the centre box (side exit tailpipe behind the rear wheel). The engine block is standard RRC of unknown age and mileage, but I believe it's done just over 100K. The heads are polished and ported items that came fitted to the block and were off a JE Engineering built motor used in a safari racer that put a conrod through the side of the original block. The standard block was fitted for the rest of the season and then the motor replaced with a new one, which is how I came to acquire the unusual mix that I have! :D

So, probably the next step in my quest for cheap performance is to fit the recently sourced cherry bomb mid-pipe (tenner from a mate) and then to see about a better camshaft.

Which would/should be what?:scratching_chin:

Cheers,
Jon
