Need a new battery for my 200 tdi 110.

I need to power DVd's, phones, fridge so was thinking of fitting two reasonable batteries (nothing too special)

Is it possible to get a decent battery for £50?

Also, how do you fit two batteries?

Yes you can get a reasonable battery for around the £50 mark.
If you mean the physical location 2 batteries should fit in the battery box Just make sure you don't make it airtight!!!

If you mean the wiring side of it there are plenty of kits you can buy or there are plenty of threads explaining how to do it yourself.

Sorry to sound a bit slow Pikey, (and a genuine question, not a suggestion!) - is there a reason why they couldn't just be connected in parallel?

it is generally accepted that yu wont get two batteries in the same condition, and it will mean that one will pull the other one down - that is why split charge systems disconnect the secondary battery when not being charged.

Aah...so in theory if you bought two brand new identical ones it should work - or are there differences right from the shop?
