Hi All,

Yes, I'm another Newbie to the Landy scene, Same old question about tyres.

After some AT's am looking at the BFG's, but saw the following Web site where they reckon the Bridgestone Revo's otherwise known as the Bridgestone 694's are meant to be a better tyre.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=ORAT

I did have the 694's on a previous "leisure" soft-roader and they did seem good with very little road noise, although the tread pattern doesn't look as aggressive as the BFG's.

Has anyone tried both or any other recommendations.

Also my disco I 300 TDi has 245/70/16's on the back with 235/70/16's on the front, I'm sure this isn't "normal" will 245/70/16's fit all round without rubbing or should I stick with 235/70/16's.

HEEELLLLPPPP.!!!!!

cant comment on your disco tyres, sorry :( but a great link. it has helped me choose my next tyres. :)

hi hewey i use bfgoodrich all terrains on both my disco and the wifes 90 defender and can only say from my own experinces that they are a great allrounder excerllent on cornering with the wider shoulders it makes a difference very good in wet if you know what your doin offroading they can get your truck to places that someone with mud terrains cant get to ive also been reading about people who have got some fantastic millage out of them my own thoughts glad i got them !

Recomended max size on disco tyres is 235/70/16 as i have been looking into fitting bigger tyres on mine such as 245/255 but was told that extreme off road will have them rubbing so will stick to what ive got also skinny wheels are better in the dirt look at the 2cv,tiga

Thanks for your help Guy's much appreciated.

Has anyone had any experience of the Bridgestone 694's.?

Cheers
