Hi all got a freelander ES 02 plate, all of a sudden started getting 3 or 4 beeps when the vehicle is disarmed with alarm, red light on dash flashes and then shortly after 3/4 beeps, alarm seems to lock vehicle ok, any ideas ?

yer key fob battery is gerrin flat.

Im guessing you dont have a handbook? Its covered in that. Oh yes I remember Harold Marshall from Hursts LR dealership, Belfast telling me that it didnt come with a handbook. Yeah right! Spend 15k on a new FL and they cant even throw in a £15 handbook.
You are best to source a batt from a DIY store, dont forget to re-sync the fob after replacing the new batt.

From the aforementioned manual :

Remote Handset Re-Synchronization
"Re-Synch is achieved by using the handset operating either handset button five times in quick succession with the ignition off"

Because if he hasn't got the manual and doesn't know about the battery beep, chances are he doesn't know about re-synch either.

Methos - play the game, ffs do they want me to replace the batt for them. if the OP had searched, then they would have found this has been covered soooo many times.
They may well have a handbook but just never read it.

Methos - Considering Trew 90 had already answered the OP's question there was no need for me to do so. You can be pretty sure that if you or I hadnt posted the OP would have another question after replacinp the batt - howcome my key fob doesnt work?
