After a great day yesterday doing the Santa Pod lanes, even though Ryder got stuck for almost 12 hours, we're revisiting the lanes this Saturday:eek:
We'll avoid the obvious Shogun traps this time and try and do a few more including some towards Kimbolton and Grafham Water.
Ryder, Jai Landrover and myself are already in. Anybody else is welcome.
If you want to go we'll meet at about 9.30 on Saturday around the Bedford area. Meet details via PM to avoid the anti's. Hopefully find a pub for lunch.

I gotta sort out my steering problems you may have noticed me all over the road yesterday. I need to fit a drop arm I re-conned a while ago and it seems whaddon has taken its toll on the 90 and seriously bent my mentally strengthened track rod into a bannana shape leaving the 90 with copious ammounts of toe out! Once thats sorted I'll be sweet again!
 
Lol I can't blame you i think i hit a roundabout at 40mph sideeways yesterday by tesco's lots of fun though!

P.s. I had all the best intentions in washing off the ropes earlier, I got as far as opening the 90's door, looking how muddy it was and then promptly closing the door again. Jai
 
I got as far as Jai did... unfolded them... left them out in the sunshine to dry the mud out... wentout and it propmtly started raining! so... try again today
 
Tut i didnt know you lot were going to these santa pod lanes!

i know im going to get some stick now,,,, but,,,, im getting another toy tonight,, a SWB pejero 3.5 V6 LOL, still got the disco, but this pajero is CHEAP and on the same road as me, so im thinking why not give it a go :D

I dont know if i can make this weekend, ive got loads to do :(
i really would like to see what its made of though, but its only got road tyres :(, picked it up at 8pm and ive only just got home (12:28) been out in it all night, i actually quite like it all that power and rear wheel drive,,,, its VERY fun, dont get me wrong though i love my disco, but as for normal driving this pajero thing is amazing
But i dont understand the transfer box, theres loads of settings on it
And if i put it in lock mode etc, do i have to reverse to get it out like on the disco? i know nothing about it :(, need some cheap steels of ebay with offroad tyres me thinks
after this weekend when will you be over santa pod way next? + is it just mud or horrible stuff?,

If last weekend was anything to go by, if you can't make this Saturday, don't worry Ryder will still be there next weekend:D;)

It's just Saturday planned at the moment, bring the Disco.
 
Hello chaps, Just been confirmed that my winch is waiting for me so I am off down to Salisbury this weekend to collect and hopefully fit. Just seen on another forum that 40 foot lane is closed untill further notice so it was a good job we got there last weekend! I think Spyderman and Ryder hold the record this year for the amount of time spent on the lane!
 
To be honest spyderman, ryder and myself could do a mass vehicle upkeep day fix my steering, get ryder a tow point sorted and spyderman lights/charging system sorted, mabe worth sacrificing a day to get them sorted Jai
 
That could be a plan, because my electrics still aren't behaving. Fix them, sort your steering, do your fav lane later.

Spyderman, im not insured on the disco anymore, swapped it over to the pajero Disco is up for sale :D,,, but i dont think it will be long b4 i have another land rover prob something like a range rover bobtail too :D
 
Great day's maintenance... got me lights sorted an almost got me a rear recovery point. Thanks for the help guys. Ok lets boogie in the morning
