Went out today to do a bit of local greenlaning only to find that theyve had an extended closure due to condition of lanes. Walked two and they were bone dry. I was wondering if enough people rang and complained the local council would reconsider. I'm disgusted by the closure. All comments would be appreciated and if you'd like to phone the council the person to ask for is Francine Rainbow on 01234276553. I'll be phoning tomorrow and hope you can all help to. Soon there will be no byways open in bedfordshire which will be such a shame for those who like to drive there land rovers legally through the countryside.

They have only opened a couple of lanes. Yelnow,sandye lane,hang mans lane,yielden to shelton road and found some others closed. And that was on 27th may. Haven't had a chance to phone yet but will do tomorrow if I get a chance.

byway closure | Flickr - Photo Sharing! hopefully a link to photo of letter on closed byways. it says about the recently heavy rains.when this was put up it was the 23rd may. so they had already been closed since may 1st which i could understand with the rain we had before.

All open apart from Forty Foot, nothing new there then.
