Hello all, i think i dropped a major bollock!!! i removed my BECM today to resolder the fuse 2 main yellow wire, all done i refitted the unit plugged it all in and reconnected the battery, put the key in the ignition and nothing except the red SRS warning light:eek: is there any way to reset the unit or get it to power up again or is it buggered?? Thanks

Is the battery fully charged??....

A discharged battery (even slightly) can cause allsorts of problems....

Rick-the-pick has a box of tricks that can be used to diagnose the BeCM....maybe drop him a PM and see what he says.

got 13.4 volts and batt is fully charged, the alarm and central locking work fine but when the key is turned in the ignition just the srs light comes on and nothing else

is there anyone in the stockport /Manchester area that can do a BECM resync for me? i think thats the problem

If a resync is needed, normally all the instrument cluster lights are on except the "engine check " light.

Make sure all fuses on the becm are ok.

SOLVED
Thanks for all the advice, i suppose it helps if ALL the plugs are in correctly!! 1 was in but not all the way:doh: still got fuse 2 failure message though, just isolated it to passenger heated seat wiring fault from switch to BECM, no input from switch
