Hi All,
I just went out in my 1989 90 2.5td CSW and we got to our destination, I turned the ignition off and removed the key, and the battery warning light came on and stayed on. I checked that all the lights etc were switched off, and decided to disconnect the battery so that I wouldn't return to the car later and find a flat battery.
I connected the battery again 2 hours later, and the battery light came on. It started fine, and all lights went out for the journey home.
Now that I am back I have put the car out of the way, and left it with the battery light permanently on. I am not sure if it will drain down the battery, and if so, how quickly before it becomes flat.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
