Just had the old girl out and about after doing head gasket...all good...till last night...been fine all day...parked up for 2 hrs. Came to start car...nothing...starter motor stuck..gave it a tap and it started to turn over but the battery was totally dead...nothing left on...managed to bump it off...and one of the relays was constantly ticking...any ideas guys and gals....

Before you go any further, charge up the battery fully. Could take quite a while depending on the charger you have

First thing is to identify what relay is permanently energising, shouldn’t be to difficult. Then go from there. You could do a earth leakage test, but you need to sort the relay issue first.

Could be not enough voltage to keep it switched? Ie, relay clicks on and whatever it's enabling draws enough to do the voltage below some threshold so the relay clicks off? Rinse.. repeat..
