I've recently just purchased my first Land Rover defender 90.
Just starting to do a few things to it and I've come across the battery compartment under the driver seat has some corrosion in it. Can I remove this battery "tray" so that I can get it grit blasted and powered coated at work?

Any info would be great!

Unless you are going to remove the entire seat box from the chassis and the tub bulkhead, you may find, as I did, that it just isn't worth it!

I repaired in situ and then slapped on all the paint remnants I had left over and haven't had any problems since.

Yes, I had mine galvanised. Mine was done during a full restoration/ chassis change so I'm unsure weather it can be removed without taking out the complete seatbox but I doubt it can.
New battery boxes are available iirc.
