just took delivery of our 01 freelander td4..

it is a one owner from new with full landrover service history. it was bought from a very good friend who can no longer drive so I bought it. and I am very glad I did. over the last 16 years it has never failed an mot. it is as new throughout the car and had done 70k miles. the last mot had an advisory nsf brake pipe slight corrosion so will be sorting that.

Not many cars achieve that!
it is one of the most pampered well cared for freelander I have ever seen. the only thing I find irritating is it has a tape player. I went to buy a radio cd player. tried to fit it but could not work out how to get the cable plug out from the rear. it is a bmw unit. so if anybody out there can give me a clue iwoul be very greatfull.

no rust anywhere david. no stone chips or scratches. just bought a set of tyres for it as the others were showing sighns of age they were last changed ten years ago so I thought I had better sort em out but otherwise very nice indeed. picture shows when first delivered but does not do it justice

Nice motor. I think the early TD4 (and even K series from the same time ) with the black plastics are the nicest Freelanders. I've had a couple of 02 and 04 cars and IMHO the earlier cars look better.

I must admit to loving the car. it is the first time I have driven a car that is 16 years old and still looks and feels like brand new. beats our disco 300tdi by a very long way.

very supprised as to how quiet the td4 is, having only had 300. and 200 tdi discoveries. you can have a nice conversation with the good lady wife.............. must remember to turn radio up on next trip..

I think the TD4 is a horrible noisy thing. Now the V6 is very quiet and refined by comparison. I miss the V6's refinement and power. I don't miss the fuel consumption though.

well nodge, that horrible noisy thing just did us a six day holiday in Norfolk. covered 570 miles in total at the average fuel consumption of 41 mpg. so I think I can put up with the noise
