Anybody any hints on back doors? Disco 2: both back doors are hard to open, the handle goes its full travel easily, but then you have to yank them to open the doors, the electrics are all working fine, and I have taken the door cards off and lubricated everything. Is there a way of reducing the 'freeplay' in the handle travel without having to take the locks right out of the door?? Cheers

if you have none to hand, then spit, but it doesn't lube for long

but once it's going, just keep a constant motion and it should sort itself out.

Well, thanks a lot chaps - I read through this looking for some useful information.

Turned out to be a bum thread....

Solved it!
****ed me off no end, so took door apart and looked at mechanism with a mirror, there is a 4mm hex bolt that sets the ammount of play in the door mechanism. You can actually reach this without taking the frigging door apart! If you flick the lever across in the lock as if it is locked, then with a good torch look directly up and you will see the offending 4mm bolt.

Doors open like new now
