Hey foks , well now i got my freelander i quite fancy doin some green laning or beginner off roadin . Anyone know of any places in ayrshire or in scotland bein not too far from glasgow/ayrshire areas??

hey, i'm from that sort of area too !
if you have a spy on google maps near Routdaneburn, you can find a road which leads into some woods, then just stops and turns into a track.
I haven't tried it out yet but I am going to take a peak at it once i'm back home for summer.
Will let you know how i get on !

Ye might want tae ask the landowner fur permission afore ye go trapesin' ower thur land.
Ye might see tracks on yer maps, but some o' these might be closed tae the public.... Galloway Forest Park fur instance has a load o' tracks through the woods but are all closed except tae the Forestry workers.
Chances are, it belongs tae an Estate, farm or forestry commission.. nae harm in askin'

yeh, i had herd that quite a lot will just let you so long as you just ask them.
I'm just afraid of rejection
I then checked out that area of google street view and it had a big gate infront of it.
We shall see once I am back home !
