i was going to get some axle stands and a jack to prop my landy up while i take the front springs off to get the dumb irons replaced; none of the stands on screwfix sound like they are going to be tall enough to prop under the chassis behind the spring (they all seem to stop at about 18"). anyone know off the top of their head how tall a stand i would need?

the 6 tonne ones in screwfix go up to 570mm (22inch aprox)

18" is fine (no smutty remarks thanks)
You dont want to go too high as it will become unstable.
Just remember to put the stands on good level ground and whenever possibul have a backup support if it falls off the stands.
