I recently purchased a 2003 V8 Vogue L322 and it has the "Auxiliary Ventilation System"

I set the timer one evening, and when I got into the car the following morning, 20 minutes after the timer had been set, the blowers where indeed blowing.

But the air coming out is cold!

I have seen posts that say the petrol car doesn't have this function - but the menu is there, the timer starts the blowers at the correct time but no heat!

Any ideas?

Aux vent is different from Aux heating....

The Td6 models had Aux heating as standard...the V8's were an option....and rare at that.

The Aux ventilation is just to turn on the blowers to cool the interior down by bringing in fresh air at a pre-determined time.

yep, aux vent just means to vent the car with fresh, cooler air. intended for use on hot days.

i have never come across a V8 with aux heater fitted. pretty sure the v8's heat up rather quick compared the doozles .. ?

I always thought i had a FBH as i had the AUX option on my display but I've never seen it and my car has never spontaneously combusted, although the cam covers leaking onto the downpipes while i was waiting at a fuel pump brought it close, so i guess i don't have one. i've never been brave (stupid) enough to try it anyway.

Hippo/chicken - I have an FBH on my 2004 Autobiography. It is an option only on the V8 petrol but is jolly nice on icy days. You can set it to come on at a certain time every day or do it remotely with a fob.
