tweeking the autobox ecu settings..

1ST
does anyone have line pressure readings/figures for pressure solenoid for various speed/load/..ie a map??

i guess not??

so ..second best..so ii can work out what i think it should be...

if you are booting it in sport mode how smooth/quick/severe are the gear changes?..the more severe the higher the line pressure will be..

i ask as trying to gauge max line pressure the zfhp24eh will take..

i have the low/mid load settings sorted in economy/cruise map..one can not feel the changes its so smooth!. but currently have the sport map conservatily rated..

2ND
how much slip is acceptable say in 3rd gear at 30mph up a slight hill?
and is there a way to tell if its the box or the torque convertor slipping?
asking as i wish not to have the box slipping due to a too low a line pressure at low engine load..as am sure that would not be good for it..

thanks

I've never used sport mode - the box is responsive enough without it - plus you don't need to hang onto revs with a 4.6 litre V8! I'll give sport mode a try next time I'm out and report back.

Sport mode holds the gears longer and gives harsh changes if you give it teddy. Torque converter will always slip until lockup at 50 MPH.

Well, tried sport, the change ups are slightly harsher (but by no means harsh) and I detected a slightly flare after the 1st to 2nd change which doesn't happen in normal mode. Perhaps my transmission is a bit tired?

Get some Lucas in it.
