My ZF4HP22 box has lost reverse gear......What sort of price should i look to pay for a 2nd hand box or mine reconn'd?
As i have had some silly quotes from £450 for a 2nd unit supplied and fitted up to £1600 for a recon

any help will be very much appreciated

£450 for a secondhand unit supplied & fitted doesn't sound that bad, but you'd want some sort of guarantee on the box at least.

Oh yes i couldn't agree more, it comes with a 6 month guarantee, so not too bad

I have had mine on a manual for some time now as the manual box is far easier to maintain and repair.It may be an idea to go swap to manual if the box is nacked.There is the fact that auto is kinder to components but how much money do you want to spend.
