IMO you are too optimistic if you think you can do much programming on a D3 with that multivehicle tool

hiya

It’s becoming quite popular for £50

Indeed know it’s not in the same league as an iid but isn’t bad for the money

can reprogram keys , sas reset , read and clear dtcs etc etc

I'm watching this with interest... i've seen many multivehicle tools which were supposed to do all kind of programming on all the vehicles but each of them failed when it came to a LR... let's hope this one is better.

indeed and know where ur coming from with regards to cheaper readers

many owners in the D3 forum have bought them and has been receiving good feedback

Think it’s worth the money just for key programming as we all know how much the dealers produce outrageous quotes for some keys programming

I’m also tempted so can keep one in the disco as i won’t risk the iid being kept in the vehicle

Well so far seems good
New key fob with the electrics bits In from eBay £18
Local Timpson cut the blank
Just used the AP200 to program the fob and it all went smoothly.

So bought the car with only one key fob with split button covers
£8 for new key fob shell, swapped the internals and had the new blade cut £10 so that fixed fob 1)

£18 for complete new fob including the electrics £10 to have the blade cut. £62 including express delivery as I’m an impatient sod
£108 and I now have two good working fobs,a spare cut blade and a diagnostic thingy that will no doubt be most useful latter on
Cheapest quote to supply, cut and programme a key was £160
So I’m already better off :)

I'm very curious to see what else can it do for a Land Rover. Got any screen shots?

I’ll post some shots later
I don’t know how to post a web site link so this is the best I can do for now
I used it to find out how to program my key

Cheers.
Looking online I've seen many Discovery 3/LR3 owners saying great things about the AP200 but I see nothing else from other owners with older/newer Land Rovers.
