I have a 92 astro van lt 4wd with a 4.3 W engine ( with the Spider type
of fuel injection in the 2 pc intake) I found out that the spider
injection unit went bad & I also have heard that this spider injection
uint is junk & will not hold up at all. I aquired all of the nesseray
parts ( including the computer , wiring, etc) to convert this to a TBI
off of a 91 Astor Van with a 4.3 Z engin. As you probley have figured
out the intake dose not fit (the counter ballence on the W enging is in
the way of the water jacket on the bottom of the TBI intake). Is there
a trottle body Injection (TBI) intake for the 4.3 W engin? Where can I
find it? If not can you direct me to a source for the spider injection
systme that is not going to break down & be so expensive to purchase?

Thanks

Head over to www.astrosafari.com. You will get the answers you need
there.

Personally, I'd just replace the spider. Mine has 160K+ on it and was
working fine when I pulled the van off the road for a V-8 engine swap.
