Hi all just got back from me holls,
Took the SIII all round Germany and the Cezch republic covering about 1800 miles all told Koblenz, Hiedelberg, Nuerenberg (not the race track before you ask), Pilzen (home of Pils beer in the Cezch republic), Karlovy Vary, Dresden, Colditz, Liepzig and Osnabrueck. Camped all the way and the weather was ****e ;( Top trip though - photos to follow but here's one or two:

To the SIII, well it never really missed a beat but Wes's put put bang bang is catching. I developed a missfire and a lack of power at low revs after about 500 miles. It got slowly worse but never that bad as if I change down and give it some the problem goes and she still pulls like a train. Happy to sit at 60 all day and I got in the regoin of 20 mpg. Good on 7.50x16 cross ply SAGs I think. Any ideas anyone - Ive tried the usual plugs points etc to no effect.
7.50x16 General SAGs performed very well on my wagon although the road noise is very present. It's just a shame that I didn't get to try them out on some proper rough stuff.
Photo removed and link added in stead.
