I did a 240 mile drive today, in snow, rain & generally crap conditions, even saw 2 guys off the road on Rannoch Moor.

As we all know, it's an offence to drive with fog lights (front of rear) on when visibility is OK (over 100 metres...which means all the time in Blighty).

I did a straw pole today of people who (1) are too thick to know or (2) are too inconsiderate to care about dazzling oncoming drivers...

The majority of vehicles with front fogs on were driving blingy japanesey 4x4's.

Not a single Land Rover had inappropriate lighting (I guess Defender drivers don;t have the choice!).

We are officially the best! Have a big pat on the back from me!

(obviously a survey carried out under strict scientific conditions) ;) ;) ;)

Front fog lights, loud exhausts, big bassy systems and Lexus style lights are a must here. It's so bloody annoying lol. Especially when all this is fitted to a 1.0 litre Citroen Saxo! I'm currently designing an Irish snorkel that fits under the bumper and sucks up then devours all the afore mentioned cars!

Whenever i see a set of lexus lights theres always a bulb gone.Spend more time and money on looking after ya motor than tarting it up to look like every other chav mobil

I find 520W of main beam tends to make em turn foglights off fairly sharpish, providing its only the chav's i'll be blinding!!! ;)

Front fog lamps are a waste of bloody space, they only seem to be used on chavs motors, and we all know these ****s can't drive in good weather, let alone fog.:crazy_driver:

they actually do work well in thick fog its just the thick coonts forget they have left um on

I only put my front fogs on when I,m on the motorway and its p1ssing down with rain and visibility is poor.

I ain't having some tired Polish lorry driver wipe me out cause he hasn't looked in his mirror properly !.

( and theres always some tw@t in a silvery coloured car with no lights on at all ! ).

Front fog lights do sod all in day light, the were introduced as an alternative to headlamps, so if headlamps were used at night in fog and it was found that the light flare of the headlamps reduced visibility then headlamps could be switch off and the fog lamps, with their flat top beam which will reduce flare, used instead.
But now you find drivers with both on day or night, the same people that drive through tunnels with there rear fogs on, the same people that don't realise that the function of the rear fog has finished when they have been identified by a following vehicle so why sit in traffic with them on.

Back to the beer :beer2:

Trouble is with these younger drivers they seem to think it's cool to drive with fogs and sidelights as it looks good, I bet that 99% of them don't even know it's breaking the law. Another thing is I thought it was illegal to have blue lights on the car, now everyone seems to have them. I saw a truck the other day must have had 50 blue lights on the front. When I was younger always getting pulled for extra amber marker lights on the side, the Police just don't seem bothered any more.

If they have blue lights on and cause an acident you say i fort it was a police car-instantly done for impersonating a police officer.
