Got one like that on mine. If someone wants to nick it they have to come with a steering wheel.

what do the insurance jerks say?...... do they reduce premium or add on for a modification?

Some insurance companies will accept them as a security device and may reduce your premium others may not accept them, its best to check first.But if you have one accepted and fitted and the car goes missing its down to you to prove the wheel wasnt fitted or in the vehicle at the time,I assume they expect you to remove the wheel every time you leave the car unattended and take it with you .
