Evening guys.

Im hunting down a troublesome noise from my front axle and decided to do a rebuild of both wheel stations. I have done the N/S without any troubles, replacing all seals in the swivel ball/hub/stub axle as well as the raiko bush/bearing and wheel bearings while I'm at it.

I've now moved onto the O/S and how I've not noticed this before is beyond me. It isn't fitted with the usual drive flange and drive shaft set up. Instead its a drive flange with a fixed shaft that engages the CV joint... but its not just that... the hub is different and even the swivel housing is different, it is the type with two bearings rather then a raiko. I guess someone has some issues in the past and just swapped everything from the swivel ball out with a complete unit. Now the rebuild parts I've ordered are obviously useless and I want to put this back to normal but out of interest can anyone tell me what these parts are from? a Disco maybe? the stub axle has a large flat rather then a small flat for the washer behind hub nut.

I'll have to order a new swivel, hub and stub axle to revert this back to a standard 200tdi defender 90 of its age.
