Anyone heard of echlin? with the porblem we have here of getting decent dizzy caps new-even genuine ones having gone down hill recently i wonder if ones made by echlin would be any good? the are the correct blue for the good old gen caps at least.

Echlin used to be a good maker of auto electrics here in the US, but I haven't done any distributor work in years, although I've still got my tools. Maybe an older vehicle will be in
my future.

My old RRC cap was blue and remained ok while I owned it for 100,000mls same with the rotor arm, my disco cap is now black but still original as the rotor only the plugs and leads have been changed.
I did purchase a Genuine Part cap years ago but it's still in the box on the shelf, very expensive for what it is.
A mate with his 3.9RRC fitted a cheepy dizzi cap around £8 and didn't have any problems with it, I suspect there are some aftermarket caps that are better than others.

hi jai, to be honest I havnt tried it yet lol- quite a lot on the go atm. did mine work ok for you?
