WIFES Corsa failed it's mot on CV boots o/s and n/s and ball joints on steering rack o/s and n/s. I've done the o/s today and now the rev counter and speedo won't work. Google recons a bad connector on cluster but that seems fine. No errors showing on ODDB Anyone got any ideas please? Need to fix it for monday morning, no way she is taking my L322 :)

Im limited on info but we've done a couple of engine conversions on corsa's,
Possibly the speed sensor on the gearbox you can check on some corsas if its getting a signal from the box to the
speedo by holding in the 2 buttons on the lcd whilst driving if it registers its not the sensor
check fuse 18, could check them all while your there.
are the reverse lights, hazard lights & cig lighter working some times the reverse sensor fails & they are all
run off the same circuit, located under the gear stick.

@kevstar thanks for the info. My diagnostics shows the engine revs so I suspect the sensor is ok. I'll check the fuses and connections tomorrow while i'm doing the n/s bits. I'm thinking I disturbed something but can't think why the rev counter and speedo would be related.

Looks like the fairys have been during the night and fixed for me.

I don't believe in Fairies....only naughty Pixies...and they only break things, not fix them.
If it's magically working again without you doing anything, then I'd put my money on a loose wire / connection somewhere.;)

Been for a little drive and it's still working. I will keep an eye out for the Pixies, hopefully they won't come back.

Your RPM on your diagnostics could well be from the crank/FW/cam sensor, we use live data to diagnose these sensors via engine RPM.
