hi guys sorry me again
when fixing, renovating etc the landy series 3 88, is there anything that would be tabboo to do to it? i am just taking bits off at the moment and looking at what needs to be done and then going to start putting back together and adding or putting my own mark on it.
your comments would be appreciated

alloys chequer plate and tinted windows are big no no's as are front spoilers and side skirts :D :D

well chequer plate and tinted windows are purchased, will have to re think or ask her while i am poking my dick up the exhaust (its not tabboo in wakefield lol)

leopard fur interior and painting 'PUSSY WAGON' down the side int gonna get you many friends

painting it yellow and sticking "camel" stickers all over it.
ONE LIFE LIVE IT stickers
any form of tyre tread pattern stickers

I actually just tinted the back windows, and I am very happy with it. (got sick of nosy feckers peering in at my gear.

the tints make it feel nicer inside

I didn't do any of the front ones though.

That is so wrong. If ya wanna stop people from peeping. Paisley print curtain is the only acceptable method in Series. Tint's are for the doggers like J the Range and the pimp my ride brigade. :D

using as a get-away vehicle whilst doing over the bank is also not generally excepted in a series

Depends on your attitude to older vehicles. You can do anything you want to a landy especially as it's got a chassis to bolt stuff on. Bigger engines, stronger axles, uprated brakes, power steering, chromed chequerplate etc.
Or you can keep it as original as possible.
Or keep it looking and feeling like a series but add a few improvements to make it a bit more practical - better lighting, tubeless rims, rear screen wash/wipe, electronic ignition, comfier seats, inertia reel belts, sound deadening and the like.

In short (for me at least), I would say anything done to her that makes you feel you have made her look more modern or has made her a flash show off vehicle to park next to boy racer fiestas to make yourself feel a bigger man...

A series is a classic motor now, if somebody wants a show off land rover, get a 90 and plaster aload of cardboard body panels over it using sticky tape & prit stick. And for those who really feel they are lacking a few inches inbetween the thighs, you could even put eight spokes on..

That being said, I have seen series with 8spokes that look jaw droppingly georgous, but they are few and far between. likewise with checkered plating, if you don't like the classic look of a land rover - don't buy a classic land rover!

a cheap and easy facelift idea for yer and i aint a clue weather its a taboo thing or not is to mask evrything up round all the brightwork such as the windscreen frame and the angle rivetted bits at the back and the tub rim also the light bezzles rad grille off and the front bumper and blow them over with an aluminium looking spraypaint

what a difference a day makes also while yer at it paint the rear crossmember with black hammerite as this will prolong the life of it and ffs dont paint it nato green like the rest of them paint it a real colour like metalic blue or something

NO:
Tint
Spokes
LOW Profile tyres
HUGE tyres
Hacked Arches
CHQ Plate
Stickers
yellow,pink,orange paint
Big Exhaust
"HomeMade" Snorkel
Soupdish spots
Big Stereo

YES:
"Skinny" OEM rims
Grey / Green / blue / red / white paint
Safari roofs
Replacement Halogen lamp units
200tdi lump ( at a push - I prefer original running gear as much as possible)
Stainless fittings

well over here people peer in even more if you have curtains

Plus I still want to be able to see out the sides. As for a stereo, I'm getting a cheap one. Well probably anyway

I don'twant to paint her green, everyone does that over here. Maybe marine blue?
