Glad to hear it , landy shows are not what they used to be , but then if you never knew you wont miss it ;)

I went yesterday

I used to go every year up to when it all got ugly with LRO when the breakaway shows started and it's my first time back.
It's got considerably smaller. There were club stands where there used to be sales stands. I'd guess about 1/3 smaller.
But it was a nice day out in the sunshine completely immersed in everything Land Rover.

I went to Peterborough last year but can't go this year. I'd say that was a better show, though it doesn't have the atmosphere of Billing.
Probably because of the proximity of the camping at Billing so you just feel completely surrounded by Landys and owners with their families.

i've only had the land rover since december - i intended to go - i even booked time off work as you have to get your hoidays in early

but at the moment the van will only run for about 15-20 minutes then it cuts out

i suspect injector o rings and washers - which i have - i'm just waiting for the puller

i ordered one about two weeks ago but a couple of days ago they informed me about 'supply problems' which mean they will not receive them until 'beginning of August'

fair enough - they have informed me of their problems and given me the option to cancel - and they are the only supplier i could find - so i imagine there is not huge demand

shame really - i was looking forward to it - but i don't really need a bull bar and bush wires to go to ALDI

maybe next year :D

I was there fri-this morning left for home about 9:30-10:00am got back about 12:00-12:30 and really enjoyed it still could have been a few more stalls though as the clothing stalls are slowly taking over

I went today. It's local to me so I couldn't really miss it. I enjoyed it although it was pretty much the same as last year. Saw a guy talking about winching safely which sounds really boring but was excellent.

I see the lady that got ran over by a defender at another show this year still had her leg in a support and sat in a golf caddy out of the way :D

I went on the Saturday, show was ok, bought a few t shirts, off road course was good but not very challenging, my head lamp fell out and I got a puncher on the way home.

Wasn't quite worth the 3hour drive to get there then 2 1/2 hour to get home! (Got lost on way)

enjoyable though don't think I'll go next year

No, I wouldn't travel that far for it. Peterborough is worth the drive though.

I went Saturday, didnt really think much of the show, werent really that many trade stands, a lot of the popular stands were missing. loads of club stands.

found prices for the gear quite expensive not many deals to be had, and found prices were cheaper online really.

wasnt really that well laid out either, too many kids on bikes trying to get round, too many vehicles being moved around which should be a safety hazzard, and people bringing dogs out in the heat.

Roll on September for the best show in the UK
