Yes rear props in place, vcu was replaced with a new unit, including bearings about a month or two ago too

IRD wasn't really checked, only for excessive play on the flange. VCU didn't fail either, car had done 90,000 miles on the original, and after reading the vcu horror stories/along with feeling resistance when reversing, i decided to bite the bullet and get it replaced for the peace of mind

Changed both gearbox and IRD oil today also, there was a very small amount of filings on the IRD drain plug, none on the gearbox

so this would be shown up in the oil, probably.

give the drive shafts a good shake and look underneath while an assistant turns the steering lock to lock.
