Have recently re-installed AVG free on my laptop and found it slowed up my computer considerably. Changed to Avast and everything was ok for a while until Avast started plugging me with upgrade offers which I declined. Now Avast is as slow as it was before. Seems like a deliberate ploy to me. Anybody had similar experiences?

Never needed anti virus in the engine ECU, nor the SLABS ECU either coming to think of it.
