I know they've been discussed before, but I too am looking at some Insa's, the rangers to be precise (no-one has mentioned them before on here :D).

Anyone here used the rangers before? What are they like on and off road?

Cheers guys.

Pardon my ignorance - wot is an insa? Is it a slitty? Cus I know where a good one is going fror a good price. I wouldn't touch one but each to their own

Depends what you want them for I guess! I am thinking of Insa Mountains for my next tyre as they have a bit more tread for off road yet not too bad on road. Used them on the RR and they stood up very well both on and off road - 5500 miles on them and they have only just slightly shown wear.

I see, when you say not too bad on road, do they still sound noisy as fook or are they ok? Do they bring you efficiency right down?

HI-JACK i got a quote on a some tyres today!!!

Michelin XZLs in 255/100R16 (101 size replaced the 900-16 XCL)

guess how much

Ouch, another question, for general on road and off road (although mainly on), would 265 x 75 be a bit excessive on a series 3? Be honest.

i am gonna say yes as they are wide! you'd be better off with 235/85R16s same hight less width so less strain on the axles

Fair enough, I can see your point, theyre 50 50 on and off road, I think 265 would be a bit excessive since 265mm is 10"!!

Another one as well while I'm here, I'd be able to run em on my tubeless 109 rims with an inner tube wouldn't I?
