Hi Guys,
Just checking in from Shropshire. Come from a family of old car enthusiasts - between us we have a series 3 109 awaiting restoration (on a hillside), a 1987 90 CSW in daily use for work (still running its original 19J engine) and my personal contribution, a 1985 110 CSW bought as a 'doer upper'. Like many things land rover my initial "quick patching of the rear crossmember and suspension overhaul" has turned out to be replacement of about 50% of the original rear half chassis with 2mm and thicker sheet, taking a never ending stream of weekends and making me wish I'd just saved up for a replacement galvanised chassis, as i probably would have been back on the road weeks ago. I still love the old barge though, and it has been fitted with a disco 200tdi by the PO so makes our 19J 90 look sluggish in comparison... When it's actually driveable anyway!
