Hi All

I am back looking for some help with my 05 L320 again.

I have read a number of threads in relation to the suspension but I would like some opinions before I go down the route of a new compressor and that turns out not to be the fault.

I have the orange suspension light on all the time and it has been on a while.

I have put a diagnostic tool on and checked the following modules for faults and this is what came up.

ALL TERRAIN MODULE
UO471 invalid data received from Ride Level Control Module.

RIDE LEVEL CONTROL MODULE
C1A26 Temp sensor Circuit -This re-appeared straight after a code clear
C1A13 Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery -This re-appeared after pressing the suspension lift button when codes where cleared
C1A36 Exhaust valve- this re-appeared after pressing the suspension lift button when codes where cleared

I would appreciate any help to let me decide what avenue to take with this.

Thanks again

Gary

That looks very much like a wiring / connection issue - check the multipole connector behind the NSF wheelarch liner, there's two at the bottom of the 'A' pillar (they were usually cut out and the wiring joined with heatshrink covered inline crimp connectors when they suffered water ingress - LR sanctioned repair method). If OK (which I doubt), then check the 5A fuses in the Battery Junction Box that are marked with the EAS icon, if they're OK, check the multipole connector at the compressor assembly for correct voltages and ground - if they are all OK, then replace the compressor assembly.

Thanks for the reply.
I'll do that tomorrow and post the results.

I did do a data test and it gave the following result

All four corners have 5v feed with zero amp current.

The height sensor voltages are as follows
FL= 1.85
FR=1.90
RL=1.60
RR= 1.33

Thanks again

The height sensors go through a different pair of connectors in the NSR wheelarch, the voltages look a bit off but bear in mind the compressor is in 'lockout' and no doubt you weren't parked on a 'calibrated level surface', so I wouldn't put much store in those voltages TBH

Thanks for clearing that up.

I'll check the connectors tomorrow

OK I thought id give an update.

I checked all the connectors and they seemed fine. Fuses where also ok.

I shelled out for a new compressor and fitted it.
The warning light went out and it seemed good.
After cycling through the suspension settings it became apparent that the suspension was raising really slowly and the compressor wasn't shutting off .
It keeps displaying that the suspension s raising slowly which I don't understand as its a new compressor.
An error code appeared that said " No Air" I cleared it and it hasn't reappeared but wen i was lowering the suspension a message on the dash kept saying it was "in extended mode and lower when clear of the obstacle" when it wasn't and there was nothing under it.
I cycled through the suspension setting again and it didn't reappear.
My main concern is the compressor keeps running, an I'm afraid it will burn out,. I have checked for leaks and cant find any.

Sorry for rambling but I am at a loss
All suggestions are greatly appreciated

It will be the reason for the original pump failure and the new pump running constantly and the slow raising message.
Some weld yhe leak up but the tanks cheap enuff off the bay iv change both tanks on our d3 and sport

Had to change tank on mine, the end of sun roof drain pipe wasn't in the sill properly and was touching the tank so water from drain instead of just dripping down was up against the tank and rotted it.
