Morning all,
First time posting cos I'm a little stuck.
Bought a defender 110 hardtop project with the intention of making the perfect dog owner's car for work (Farm vet). Been spending many happy hours grinding and welding in the garage and thought I'd cracked it until I was rubbing down the chassis for painting only to find more rot in the crossmember that sits in front of the fuel tank.
I have googled pretty hard so I think I know the answer but I though I'd ask the great and the good; is there a repair panel for this part like a rear crossmember or gearbox crossmember or am I going to have to fabricate it from scratch?

And before anyone asks yes the rot is that bad and no, I have no idea why my dumb arse ignored it until this point - lesson learned.

All help gratefully appreciated.

Is it the welded crossmember or the one bolted across under the gearbox?
(I don't know where your particular fuel tank is.)
They are both available, but I can't remember where I got mine from as it was a zillion years ago!
Try Richards Chassis (01709577477) and tell them what you need.

It's the one welded in almost directly above the rear axle one the 110 300tdi.
