Hi guys, i am afraid it is another paint code related question! I have just brought a very straight 1989 defender 90 and cannot find a paint code on the VIN plate, rang Land Rover UK today and they said they never issued a paint codes to ninety's. I am desperate now, could anyone tell me what color my ninety is?....... and yes i know it is green!!

again many thanks for an help that can be given

are you looking to patch or respray the entire thing ?

take it to a good paint shop and they'll mix something to match (the slightly faded green)

it may be a colour called Belize Green, hard to see from the photo, but you can check the colour out then try to match it to your vehicle, hope this helps you find the right colour mate.

have a look at the sticky - part numbers and paint codes - see if you can match to one eof the swatches (hard on a pc monitor)

If not, large Halfords have paint charts you can hold against the bodywork (they sometimes deny having them, but they do!)

failing that, proper car paint supplier will sort you out

I wouldn't bother going to Halfrauds. Yes they have books, but if they are anything like the ones in Basingstoke, there are 5 books, about 4" thick, in no particular order and with pages missing. It's a good way to waste 3 hours looking tho.

Guys, thanks so much really appreciated, must admit was feeling quite bad after talking to Land Rover!! I knew the guys on Landy Zone would rally round!! again many thanks guys and i will hopefully put some pics up of the touched up car soon!!
