sorry for the late reply! err, whats that, well over 6 months :D basically i work on oil tankers for months at a time and good sent to sea soon after i registered, so its kinda like re-registering coming back here :D
Had a good look around the site, definately seems to be the best i've come across.
I've got a 1998 R plate Discovery GS V8. Soon to be getting a 2001 or 2002 ES and retiring my current one to be a demo car for my new business venture and get it specced nicely for off roading :)

niiice wheels! i got a defender 90 V8 3.6L. really? you work on oil tankers? so you based in southampton then? do you go on really long journeys accross the sea, ill tell you big ships and stuff like that really intrests me!! :D nice to see you still here!

i'm dying to get my mitts on a defender! some lovely 50th anniversary ones floating round the ads at the minute :D muust resist!
yeah i work on oil tankers. not based in southampton mate, the ships i work on are generally too big for uk waters, closest i've been is rotterdam which is a deep water port.
Last ship was a 330,000 tonner, carrying 2.6 billion barrels of crude, loading in saudi arabia, going down towards south africa and up to the us gulf for discharge. then back via the medi and suez canal round the corner to saudi to load again and the cycle starts again. i could talk about ships all day long as sad as it sounds, dont like the buggers either! just comes with working on them for 4 or 5 months at a time there's very little else to talk about when you get home :D
