Looking forward to meeting more of you!
Cheers,
Adam

Welcome to the loonyzone, Adam! :)
I have heard rumours there are other forums, but from what they say, active aint the word! :D
First Disco? is that a D1,2,3,4? Watch out for rust either way.

Well looking ideally for a D1 300Tdi Manual ES, but manual ES limits me massively. Yes I've heard the rust is bad, sadly I cant weld so this is a big issue for me! I can do mechanics just not body work! Haven't been able to find any photos of the rust areas yet, just descriptions!

D1, all over the chassis, and the lower rear section of the body want careful checking with a hammer.

Hmm, think a friend has persuaded me towards a TD5, due to me being fussy about spec.. just hear so many bad things about the TD5.. fuel pumps and the such. Seems the old TDI engines just run forever, and on anything ;) I'm a mechanic but I dont want to be replacing fuel pumps, injectors, engines or anything that needs programming, as I haven't got the diagnostics for it!

Welcome to the forum,if you don't want to get into diagnostics, then stay away from the TD5,300 tdi is the way to go for simplicity.:)
